finished digipac

This is our finished digipac. The Photographs of the woods and trees were all captured by me. i decided to take the images at night to create an almost spooky atmosphere, however used the flash to insure that the image was clearly readable . The branches on either side of the clearing frames the track list well, drawing your eyes to the middle of the image and the white track names, which stand out.

I also used my photography skills to take the picture of the band. I wanted the image to be quite dark so i chose to close the aperture in order to let less light in, making the image darker. I printed the image in the dark room so i could manipulate the light and dark contrast and then scanned it into my computer. while printing in the darkroom i used a filter 5 to insure a high contrast between black and white and exposed my paper for 20 seconds on a aperture of 5.6.

When i got my scanned image onto my computer i used photoshop to layer the image of the trees and the band together, to create the allusion of the band preforming in the tree clearing.

The font i used was called Mistral, i chose this font because it looks quite messy and almost like small graffiti which goes with our theme of urban settings.
